Nursing is one of the most popular professions in the United States, and one of the most in-demand, with over 2.5 million positions occupied.

The number of nursing positions is expected to grow rapidly, increasing by over 20% by the year 2016, due to technological advances, an increased focus on preventive care and the growth and aging of the population.
